The Load In/Out plan is linked here. If you have any questions, please let us know in advance.
Entrance Fees:
Entrance fees will be at a discounted price for non-wristbanded attendees who are affiliated with FIRST or a team. Use discount code “Robotics30”
Sleepover:
As a reminder, the USS Hornet is managing the sleepover and all payment and correspondence in regards to the logistics of the sleepover should be directed to them. Information on how to arrange your sleepover through the USS Hornet is on our website.
Food and Concessions:
Outside food is allowed, however, please keep in mind that whatever you bring, you will need to carry it up the ladders/stairs. If there is excessive trash, you may need to carry it out with you. Concessions will be available on the Flight Deck and the Museum level.
FLL Demo:
During Sunset Showdown, Team 5924 will be hosting an FLL mock scrimmage and Coding Basics class, Saturday and Sunday on the museum level from 10 am to 5 pm. The participating FLL teams will demonstrate their skills and robots to attendees. The Coding Basics class will last 30 minutes each hour, where anyone can learn how to move a lego motor using code. There will also be fun robot related arts and crafts. We hope to see you and your FLL teams there. Feel free to pass along the signup form.
Merch:
We’re excited to announce that merch orders are now open for Sunset Showdown. Head on over to the website to place your orders for event merch! Note that orders close on July 8th. We apologize for the short notice - it’s been a chaotic year from a planning perspective. Onsite supplies will be limited so order now to reserve your items! Orders are for pickup at Sunset Showdown only - we will not be shipping orders.
Safety Reminder
While the Hornet has many safety procedures put in place, please be mindful that it has very limited mobility and there will be a lot of pinch points where space is tight. Please be aware of your surroundings at all times and be respectful when moving around the ship.
